The environmental impact of a product is mainly determined by the materials it is made of.
To reduce our ecological footprint to a minimum, we always aim to maximize the share of recycled and organic raw materials in our products. This does not only lower the consumption of natural resources such as crude oil or farm land but also lowers the consumption of water and energy during the production process.
But there is even more to it: By creating a demand for recycled raw materials, we help to turn waste materials into a valuable commodity. Production scraps and domestic waste will be collected and sorted, rather than ending up on landfills or even in the worlds ecosystems.
And if you are as serious about the performance of our products as we are, there is good news too: Our recycled yarns are almost indistinguishable from their virgin counterparts so considering the environment does not mean we have forgotten about you!
Seaqual Polyester Yarn:
A high quality polyester yarn made from recycled materials including post consumer plastic bottles and plastic captured from the sea.
The Seaqual initiative is collaborating with NGOs, researchers, local authorities and a fleet of 165 fishing boats on the Mediterranean Sea. In a controlled and traceable production process, marine PET is collected, turned into granules and processed into yarns by two certified weaving mills in Spain.
Q-Nova Polyamide Yarn:
An environmentally-sustainable nylon 6.6 fibre, obtained form regenerated raw materials by using a proprietary mechanical regeneration process.
Produced in Italy, Q-Nova is the polyamide fibre with the lowest certified environmental impact.
A significant cut in emissions and water consumption is rewarded by numerous certifications such as Global Recycled Standart, EU Ecolabel and OEKO-TEX 100.
All our labels and hang-tags are made from 100% recycled cardboard. Naturally.
